Our sun-kissed summer skin has fast faded but it doesn’t mean we have to accept dull and dry faces for fall. No thanks! To keep our glow going we mainly have to boost hydration, exfoliate away the blah, and keep up with healthy choices that result in a reflection. I can keep my summer glow all through the winter months!
Here’s my plan to keep things glowing:
1. SPF STAT
No matter what the weather is, continue wearing sunscreen always. Temperature has nothing to do with the strength of the sun’s rays. In addition to shielding our skin from harm, a good spf will prevent acne scarring and sun spots. I prefer a tinted moisturizer with spf. A little mascara and you’re good to go.

2. Bring On the Retinoids
Retinoids are a form of vitamin a that comes in many forms and concentrations. Some call it a cure-all because they pretty much do everything from fighting wrinkles, lightening brown spots, and improving overall texture. But they also unclog your pores and boost collagen production, two things that can stand in the way of a good glow. Retinoids can be found in inexpensive options over the counter or in a prescription from your dermatologist. Just be sure to follow directions and use sparingly because if over-used it can be very drying.

3. Stress Less!
Stress causes acne. It’s a fact. Another fact, working out, meditating and practicing yoga all decreases stress and increases our circulation and the flow of healthy nutrients. There are a zillion reasons you should take time to chill out and your pretty mug is just one of them!
4. Fake It
Products usually take at least four to six weeks to make a visible improvement so in the mean time, illuminate your look with a faux glow. I give myself a dewy complexion by simply adding a touch of shimmer at the top of my cheekbones and just under my brow bone.

5. Use a Super Rich Nighttime Moisturizer.

6. Catch Those ZZZs
We know how refreshed we look (and feel) after a good night’s sleep. That’s because, according to WebMD, “The deepest stages of sleep are when your body produces the most growth hormone, which aids in cell and tissue repair.” They also point out that when we get seven to nine hours of solid sleep our body “makes more collagen, the protein that keeps skin strong and elastic.” Okay? Goodnight.

7. Arm Yourself
Speaking of sleep, did you know there’s an overnight miracle for any pesky blemishes that might have popped up (before you started getting all that sleep and de-stressing, I’m sure)? When it comes to pimples, you want to have a strong defense, and this tube of unicorn cream is one of the biggest reasons! 8. Don’t Neglect Your Stems!
If your face is a beaming light of illumination but your arms and legs are dry like the desert, we’ve got major probs. Add a hint of glimmer to your gams with body oil. If an oil feels too slick to you, mix it with your regular lotion for your personally perfect balance.
