My beautiful sister Sharee hosted my awesome bridal shower in Utah last week. Believe me when I say I was absolutely blown away by the amount of thought and creativity that went into this shower! Sharee enlisted creative genius Heidi Swapp to help her go all out – and all out they went! We had a perfume making station, personalized bracelets, the most delicious food, even customized lemonades, they truly thought of everything! There was so much to do and everything looked so fantastic.
I loved getting to spend time with so many of my friends and family. It was truly one of the best days, and the perfect way to celebrate my engagement. Being surrounded by my loved ones is my favorite place to be!
Heidi took boards from her recently-launched Letterboard collection and used them to create the signage and menus for each station. Heidi also used these boards as decor by adding love quotes and placing them around the shower.
Fun fact: Heidi’s inspiration for the shower was the “love fern” from the movie How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. With that in mind she included ferns in the centerpieces on the tables and at each station. The fern was used on the invitations, save the dates, napkin holders, perfume labels, advice book and the party favors. It was unique, clever, and fun. My kind of party! Continue Reading

The talented and beautiful actress Beth Behrs is on a mission to help other women. Beth co-founded SheHerdPower, a program that provides survivors of sexual assault with a weekend of equine therapy. I didn’t know very much about equine therapy (a.k.a. horse therapy) before Beth’s awareness campaign. Now that I’ve learned about the many benefits of working with horses, I truly believe in their healing powers and the importance of Beth’s cause.
“Interacting with horses, we glimpse nature from an entirely different perspective. A view of the world observed through the unconscious side of the brain. Because horses function from the premise of a herd identity, they see relationships as partnerships and allow us to integrate into the herd. For hundreds of years the horse has been a presence in the creation of our world. They can carry us physically and spiritually into uncharted territory, beyond our everyday worries and distractions. Their innate sensitivity and alertness reads the intention of every thing, including the purity of our spirit. One of the greatest joys in my life is hearing stories about your successes and knowing you all are happy, thriving, reaching and achieving your goals. I wanted to share something with you and say thank you for it! I’m in my second year at university studying psychology and we have to take a mandatory course in statistics and coding for which the exam is very difficult. Even though I studied really hard all year, I was extremely anxious during the months leading up to the exam. I tried to be balanced by meditating and working out every day, things both you and my mom advocate! But, I was still very nervous and lacked confidence — and then I watched your interview on success with Lewis Howes from 2015 and somehow it felt like what you said flicked a switch in my brain and I started practicing what you said about breathing and about looking in the mirror and building up your own confidence even when you don’t feel confident or believe the things you’re saying. I watched parts of it every time I started feeling anxious and then practiced your tips.
I got my results today and on this course, which is difficult even to pass, I got 91%! I credit you with a lot of that because all the knowledge I had would never have been enough if I lacked the confidence and calmness to apply it in a stressful situation.

A few weeks ago, Move Beyond landed in one of my favorite cities: Nashville! To me, Tennessee means family. My mom, sister Marabeth, her husband Michael, and their son Aidan came to the show along with our cousin Heidi, her husband Matt, and their six (six!) kids. Matt was beyond surprised when I picked him out from the audience to dance on stage with the amazing Move dancers. As I suspected, being the great sport he is, Matt got really into it! It was hilarious. I asked Marabeth to share her great photos and favorite moments from the night with you and because she’s the best, she jumped on it! Take it away, sis.
Attending Move Beyond was more than just a family affair. I also had a ton of friends and clients, plus so many other people there to support the tour. We all got to go backstage after the show to snap fun pictures and hang with the dancers. It was so funny when Derek came out in his towel and photo bombed a picture!

Whenever I’m on the road, as much as I absolutely love being on tour, I can’t help but dream about sleeping in my own bed. I truly believe better sleep leads to better health, wellness, and overall living. Designing the perfect sleep environment is an absolute priority at home. It’s something I’ve been trying to recreate on the road with the assistance of several brilliant products.
And of course, I always make sure to check in on my FitBit Charge HR to track and monitor my sleep habits.

HOW I GET MY BEST SLEEP AT HOME
1. (Don’t) Let There Be Light
Sleep experts say deep darkness is the key to a deep sleep. It’s important to shut off or cover any tiny lights from electronics and cover all windows with blackout curtains. Light, sheer curtains may look pretty during the day but they could result in dark circles under the eyes.
2. Sleep On It
