Gorgeous Juice: Beauty In Your Face

A few weeks ago I was at an LA juicery when I took notice of all the juices promising the benefits of beautiful skin. There were so many colorful options that looked delicious but I wanted to learn more before I bought in. When I got home I researched the beauty benefits of different fruits and veggies. As it turns out, they really do pack some pretty power! I decided to raid my fridge to see what I could come up with on my own.

What I now refer to as “Gorgeous Juice” is so delish that I drink it sometimes twice a day! Going beyond the superficial, the ingredients are packed with antioxidants and vitamins that improve your overall health. As a bonus my skin is definitely getting its glow on. Who knew science could be so refreshing?

Toss a few of these into a juicer and drink up:

• Green apple – brightens, tones and hydrates

• Carrot – improves skin elasticity, prevents wrinkles and dark spots

• Cucumber – super hydrating

• Parsley – reduces water retention

  1. Can u blend with coconut water and ice and get same benefits? Or is juicing the best? I hear that u lose nutrients juicing. So glad u did this blog

  2. Hey Jules! I do a nutribullet often but I never thought of this combination! Can we all just use coconut water with these ingredients and get the same effect? I use spinach, strawberries, blueberries, one banana & an orange in case you wanted another combo!

  3. So Jules I wanna try..and even tomorrow I will buy the “ingredients”. But it is with no sugar or you put a little sweetener? So have you ever tried coconut water before to make exercises or dance? Some americans say ” the miracle of the coco”. It prevents you about infeccions and is a sorce of minerals. I just know portuguese sites but you can reserch in english. xoxo

  4. My juicer is at my other home, so I will try your “mix” in 2 weeks. But before that, I can recommend one of my favourite juices: carrots + oranges 🙂

  5. My mom and I buy pretty much half the produce section each week. We make it Into a fun or or so of us in the kitchen singing, and making green juice. We make enough for us to drink all week, we freeze them, and if we are on the go, they make great green slushies!

  7. hi jules. great recipe, tried it this morning. also love the addition of sugar-free coconut almond milk (1/3 cup- 20 calories) to make it more palpable. i think the category should technically be called health. thanks for creating this community

  8. Hey Jules, I don’t know if you’ve heard of it, but there is a really awesome food you might be into. It’s called Juice Plus. They are fruits and vegetables that are dehydrated and put into capsules. They are not meal replacements, they are for added nutrition since so many people don’t get enough fruits and veggies in a day. They’re easy to travel with too so they’d be great for you and your brother while you’re on the road. The Juice Plus company is wonderful. They also sell tower gardens that can allow you to grow your own food at home without needing all of the land to plant in. As well as Complete which are meal replacement shakes. I think you’d really like what you find if you check this out!
