Now that we’re in the full swing of MOVE Live On Tour, I thought it would be fun to have some talented local bloggers showcase the cities we’re dancing in. I couldn’t be more thrilled to feature Shauntel Greene of Beautique’d as our first official city guide!
Shauntel is the very best and her pictures make me want to extend our stay in her beautiful city! Hope you enjoy this as much as I did.
Take it away, Shauntel!
Hi there!! I’m Shauntel, blogger behind Beautique’d — a life, style and beauty blog based out of Charlotte, NC. If you have never been to Charlotte, then today is your lucky day because I’m showing you three of my favorite places to get the best coffee, take in the most amazing scenery and also find the cutest outfit!
Fun Fact about me: I was actually born in Germany, however I have called Charlotte home ever since I could remember. There is nothing that compares to the city that you grew up in, made memories in and now have the opportunity to thrive in your own element.
I love Charlotte for the gorgeous weather; its roots and history, sports (GO PANTHERS!) and so much more. This place is truly a gem, which I’m sure you will fall in love with at first visit. Below are some of my favorite places to check out if you are ever in town!
1. Favorite Boutique: KK Bloom
The boutique experience is like no other. Especially, in the South! I love finding boutiques with amazing customer service, which are always ahead of the trends, and deliver them in the most unique way. There are so many various boutiques in the Charlotte area, however, one of my favorites is KK Bloom, located off of Selwyn Avenue.
KK Bloom offers today’s hottest brands and designers within a wide price range. They offer affordable jewelry pieces, as well as designer accessories, denim and the cutest tops and dresses. They take special care of their customers! You feel like you are shopping with your best friends, making for the most amazing experience. Definitely check them out!
2. Favorite Cafe: Not Just Coffee
If you know me, then you know that I don’t play any games when it comes to finding the best coffee in any city that I visit. I’d like to think of myself as a coffee connoisseur based off the mere fact that I’m a sucker for a cute little café with amazing coffee.
My absolute favorite place to pop in for coffee in Charlotte is Not Just Coffee! There are 3 different locations, which can all be found near the heart of uptown Charlotte. They offer a variety of different lattes, and the Not Just Coffee at Packard Place in uptown even has delicious breakfast food options.
The avocado toast is the best that I’ve ever had, and if you are a grapefruit lover like myself then you have to try the brulee’ed grapefruit with mint. Oh em geee praise hands emoji.
The Packard Place location is so cozy, and quaint and even allows for people watching while sipping on your favorite latte. Nothing beats some good people watching, am I right or am I right? This location is also in walking distance to Charlotte’s center-city Romare Bearden Park. Which brings me to my next point ☺
3. Favorite Park: Romare Bearden
Charlotte is known for its perfect combination of city life, as well as an equal dosage of the greenest trees and prettiest touches of nature throughout and around the city. Walking through uptown gives you that big city feeling, and then you can just as easily walk less than 10 miles outside of uptown and be surrounded by so much natural beauty.
I love Charlotte and Romare Bearden Park for this very reason! You get the best of both worlds. The scenery is amazing and there is plenty of open space to host your own little picnic while enjoying the weather, and the beauty of just taking all of nature in.
I hope you enjoyed my tour of favorites within the Queen City, and fell even more in love with the beautiful city of Charlotte, NC that I am certainly proud to call home.
