There are great festivals and other happenings going on all around the world that some of us only get to experience via social media. I’m lucky to have had incredible experiences at Coachella, but there are many things I’ve yet to do. The #FOMO (fear of missing out) is real!
I love the idea of recreating your own version of an experience when you can’t make it to the real thing. What a genius idea!
Will any of you be trying this at home?
First, I want to say that I appreciate you so much. Every post of you makes my morning better. Second, have you help or tips for me by planning my own Coachella party at my backyard? I will do it with my BFFs in our summer holidays, they’re in two weeks :). I have a coarse plan. I want to put up my pool, it’s not a big one but it does well for me. I’m thinking about a picnic or a BBQ, on this point I can’t decide which one I should choose.
How can I create the Coachella feeling? I don’t know how to do it, because I’ve never been.
Lovely greetings from Germany and thank you!
I love your idea for a backyard Coachella party! Wishing I was closer to Germany because this sounds like a really good time! I’ve made some notes and suggestions for you and your friends to recreate your own music festival.
Coachella is in the California desert, so I’d bring in anything with a cactus print. Other ways to introduce cacti are on napkins or even printed out for a fun selfie wall.
To bring out the indie vibe, I suggest hanging some vintage-inspired string lights and using plates and cups with a bohemian-inspired pattern.
I enjoy hanging out with my friends on the grass when we aren’t dancing to our favorite bands or walking around the fairgrounds. One way to create a cozy area to chill out is by laying out some decorative towels, pillows, and hanging tapestries to turn your backyard into a hippie heaven.
Most of my favorite outfits that come out of Coachella every year have a few things in common: they’re flowy, dreamy and comfortable. The accessories are always icing on the fashion cake!
The food and drinks at Coachella range from fresh pressed juices and kobe beef burgers to pizza and cotton candy. If it were my party, I’d create a signature beverage for your guests. Something hydrating and refreshing, like this watermelon lemonade!
Definitely leave pics of your party in the comments! I can’t wait to see how you brought Coachella to your backyard.
