Hometown Tour: Melissa Moore Shares Her Favorite Spots in Phoenix

These local guides have quickly become one of my very favorite series I’ve ever done. I have loved seeing each of these cities from a local’s perspective — it makes me want to travel more! After I’ve recovered from being on the road these last few months, of course.

Yesterday the MOVE Tour stopped in Phoenix, and even though I only had time to dance in and dance out, I asked Melissa Moore of Stylista Fitness to show us some of her favorite spots so I can live vicariously. I can’t wait to come back and see more of what Phoenix has to offer!

Hi, friends! My name is Melissa Moore, the blogger behind a Phoenix, AZ lifestyle blog called Stylista Fitness. If it’s your first time in Phoenix, I’m here to share my favorite spots to shop, have a bite to eat and get your beauty on.

Although, my original hometown is Los Angeles, Phoenix has been my home for the last twelve years. I’m proud to show you what we have to offer and give you a sneak peek to some cute places around town. As far as weather goes, summer can get pretty hot but the rest of the year is sunny and almost always in the 70s. Hope you enjoy the spots I picked out!

1. Favorite Cafe: Luci’s at the Orchard
We all know the best way to start the day touring a city is with coffee and food in your stomach. Luci’s at the Orchard is your picture perfect spot for this. Not only do they have an extensive breakfast and lunch menu, they have an outdoor open, airy space where you can enjoy your food.

On a hot day, my go-to is their iced chai tea latte with coconut milk. They have a full menu of drinks (even wine) and healthy smoothies. You honestly can’t go wrong with their menu! Everything is DELICIOUS!

My favorite breakfast item on the menu is the Funky Monkey French Toast. Doesn’t it look divine? And if you’re there for lunch, the Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich is to die for.

Just a few blocks down the street is our next stop…

2. Favorite Boutique: Vida Moulin
Arizona may be my current hometown, but I’ve always been a Cali beach girl at heart. If you’re looking for boho, beach style fashion, Vida Moulin is the spot. This quaint boutique located in Central Phoenix is absolutely adorable. The boutique features women’s apparel, accessories, home decor and gifts.

Guaranteed you’ll spend a few hours in this place because every piece of clothing is absolutely gorgeous and worth trying on. Check out this amazing Tularosa dress I pranced around the shop in!

3. Favorite Makeup Bar: The Sparkle Bar
If you haven’t been to a makeup bar yet, you’re in for a treat. Before you go on your way to an event in town or a night out in Scottsdale, why not get your makeup done? The Sparkle Bar is Arizona’s first full-service makeup studio. They offer personalized makeup applications that are fun, convenient and affordable.

Not only is the boutique super chic, the makeup artists are sweet and extremely talented! You are bound to be satisfied and feeling pampered before your fun night out.

I hope you had a fun time with my hometown tour! Phoenix definitely has a lot to offer and hope that you are able to visit our sunny state soon!

xo,
Melissa
