Summer Style On The Move
Whether I’m packing for a trip or planning out a jam-packed day, choosing versatile clothes and accessories allows me to enjoy the journey rather than worry about having extra things on hand to change into. I like to keep things as low maintenance as possible. To me that means packing less by wearing styles that can fit into any scenario — while being fashion forward and comfortable, of course.
Besides my sunscreen, which I never leave the house without no matter the time of year, here is a list of my double duty must haves that will take you from the beach, to brunch, out to dinner, and back again!

A Great Bag will take you anywhere, and I mean ANYWHERE. This mid-sized modern classic is made out of Fashion-Flex, a lightweight, sturdy material. It has all the convenience of a gym bag or plastic tote but the chic factor of a designer handbag. It can carry you to the beach, shopping, school, dinner, anywhere. Spilling your sunblock is no problem since you can wipe it clean. The hardest part is picking which color bag you want since there are so many!
Tunics and caftans are a definite summer staple. They can serve as a bathing suit coverup by the pool or at the beach, or as an outfit when you’re out and about. I’ve worn mine alone as a dress with sandals. If I’m wearing one that is sheer, I’ll tie it up in the front to create a high-low look with shorts or jeans. The less patterned, the more versatile it will be.
Remember how much we loved our jelly shoes when we were little? Good news: They’re still around and even more amazing! Brands like Melissa have taken a typically casual material and designed shoes that are so much more. Think flip-flops but fancier. You can ditch them in the sand before wearing them out and about. One or maybe even two less pairs of shoes you’ll have to pack for your next vacay, I’m in.
One-and-done haircare is where it’s at. I am NOT a fan of packing ten different products when I’m on the go. I love the idea of a leave-in product that will condition, add shine, manage frizz, and provide UV protection all at once.
What are your out-the-door essentials you can’t live without??
