I recently heard about Bullet Journals from one of my friends, and was immediately obsessed. There’s nothing better than committing your thoughts, tasks and goals to paper, and bullet journals are the perfect way to organize yourself into being the very best version of you every day. After all, who doesn’t want to be more organized?!
One of the ways this system is a bit different than anything else I’ve used before is the ability to customize everything. I love the idea of the habit tracker and having a place where you can be accountable for how you choose to spend your time. I also love the mood trackers and having space to write down your daily “gratefuls.” These journals are truly unique to every person who has ever created one!
I’ve been following Natascha, aka @howtobulletjournal, on Instagram for awhile. She’s truly an expert on bullet journals, and I thought she’d be the best person to tell you everything you need to know about this amazing system.
You have to let me know if you think this is as exciting as I do!
What is Bullet Journaling?
As a college student, I’m on the move all the time; dashing to class, running errands, clean my apartment and studying at home, in the library or at a local coffee shop. With all this commotion, it’s easy to forget the little tasks with deadlines that sneak up on me throughout the week. If this sounds like you, it’s time to consider finding an organization system that will fine-tune your busy lifestyle!
The Bullet Journal is a customizable and forgiving organization system. It can be your everything. It’s a to-do list, sketchbook, notebook, diary and more. You can make it simple and productive and/or make it as beautiful as you like. It’s your place to track everything you want to keep track off.
One of the things I love to do most is switching things up a bit by refreshing my surroundings. Whether it’s moving, changing my hair color, updating my wardrobe, or swapping out the pillows on my couch, change excites me. Hitting refresh can often feel liberating and sometimes even a little scary.
But, change is good! All change leaves room for growth and new experiences, no matter how big or small the change itself is.
When it comes to accessories, often I forget what all I have. If it’s out of sight, sadly it’s out of mind. Besides, when it’s all stored together my necklaces, earrings and bracelets become a tangled, mismatched mess. Since having a store display is out of the question (not to mention pretty extreme) I turned to the bloggers for bling solutions that are functional, decorative and pinterest worthy.

Last week, I received so many – and I mean SO MANY emails relating to organization and achieving goals. I’m pretty sure this has to do with all the excitement surrounding New Year resolutions.
I am always amazed by how many things you are involved in, from your blog, movies, clothing line, to dancing. I’m a nurse but I have so many other things I want to accomplish such as learning Spanish and finish writing my book. I realize prioritizing is key, but what other things would you suggest for time management and achieving your goals?
You guys emailed me so many great questions about your home décor! Below I gave you my two cents and in addition, brought in my super talented interior designer Jake Arnold.
So I have been seriously dating a mountain man and with all of the fun outdoor adventures comes the (icky) manly decor. Think: deer and elk skulls, bull riding pics, mounted fish, hodgepodge furniture and spurs. I am trying to slowly introduce him to better style (my style is more vintage chic- rustic wood, mirrors, black, white, grey with pops of color). I bought him a log bed for Christmas and need your help with how to blend our styles while still making him comfortable — he asked me to move in.
Thank you so much!!
As bummed as I was to see the Move Tour come to an end, I was ecstatic to finally move into my new house! Building this place practically from the ground up has been a massive project and I have learned a ton about renovations and decor. There is still so much to do as you can see from these heaping piles of junk and dirt but it will all be worth it in the end.
I’m not so sure why lemons have such a bad rep. We wouldn’t want a car that’s a lemon and we try to avoid a situation where ‘life gives you lemons’. Thing is, lemons are actually pretty awesome. Besides providing the perfect zest in our drinks and on our food, lemons are also in fact an all natural household cleaner safe for most surfaces. Who knew?
In honor of mother nature, I’m swapping stinky, potentially unsafe chemicals for mother nature’s little miracle fruit. It turns out these yellow cuties have antibacterial properties that are just as — if not more — effective than the synthetic cleaning products.
