The Jar of Positivity

Often it’s easy to forget about all the great things that happen in your every day. I am all for this idea to have a pot of positivity intended to remind myself of good times and wonderful memories, even if they’re from only the week prior.

The plan is, throughout the month whenever something smile-worthy happens I’m going to write it down and fold it into my positivity jar. On the last day of the month, I’ll pour out my memories as a reminder of all the awesome that happened. On the first of the month, I’ll start with a fresh jar.

What do you guys think? Are you in on this one?

  1. I’m definitely going to do this. Lately I’ve having major problems as far as seeing the bright in the gloomy. I’m going to try to see if this helps. I’ll let you know how it goes in a month!

  2. I’m going to take this idea to work on the cruise I work on. It’s hard to find positivity, there, though you might think otherwise. But this will be a great challenge!

  3. Awesome! We here at Fitness and Fashion Daily have decided to do this as an office wide project. Our Director just went out to buy the Mason jars. We’re going to use parchment paper and write our “smile-worthy” memories in brown and burgundy ink. We’ll take a photo at the end of February of our results and share a few memories with you. 🙂

  5. This is a really nice concept. I personally need to work on my outlook & attitude. I think this would help me a lot. Thank you.

  6. I’ve been keeping a gratitude journal daily. It pushes me to be more present and focus on the good that surrounds me. It’s true…what you appreciates, appreciates. I love how this little routine shifts my energy!

  7. We have the “Good Things” jar. And we fill it up over the year, and then on New Year’s Day we sit down with the kids and take turns reading over all the memories. It’s been our family tradition for 3 years now. And it’s so much fun to look back on the great memories you forgot over the year… home runs, school play performances, dinners with friends, etc…

  8. I REALLY REALLY like this idea Jules! I going to start doing that! It will remind me to be more positive throughout life and everyday!!! Positivity=Motivation & Determination!
