Watermelon Lemonade

I was so inspired by my sister Marabeth’s beautiful watermelon drink that I thought I’d share a twist on it with you all. Watermelon is one of my favorite summer flavors, and it’s super hydrating and really healthy! Basically it’s the perfect summer treat.

Ingredients:

• 4 cups of cubed and pitted watermelon
• 3 cups cold water
• ½ cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice
• ½ cup (or more to taste) of organic sugar
• Ice cubes

Instructions:

• Puree the watermelon in a blender
• Bring the sugar and a ½ cup of water to a boil in a saucepan until it dissolves
• Stir in 3 cups of cold water and the lemon juice
• Combine the above ingredients by stirring it together in a pitcher or in the blender where the watermelon awaits
• Serve in your favorite glass with ice and garnish with a slice of lemon and a slice of watermelon
