Wreath In The New Year

The holidays may have come and gone, but winter is here to stay. Just because it’s time to take the tree and lights down it doesn’t mean you have to get rid of all the festive décor.

I’ve decided to keep my celebration going by keeping a wintery wreath on my door though the chilly season. I got this beautiful (and real!) fir wreath from Bouqs. I love the pinecones and red berries — they have a sweet and inviting vibe. It’s the perfect foundation for me to add some fun personalized touches.

Since we’re just past the craziness of the holidays, I wanted to keep this look sleek and super simple. The new year is the perfect time to declutter, so I want this to be bright, cheery and clean. I went with several strands of fairy lights — which I’m currently obsessed with — and I love the way it glows!

These types of fresh wreaths can last for several weeks, so I know if I want to get craftier with it I can. I’m thinking of adding succulents, fresh flowers, and maybe even some of my costume jewelry. These can all be tied in with floral wire or craft glue.

To keep your wreath looking fresh for as long as possible, Bouqs suggests spraying it with water every other day or so to make sure it doesn’t dry out.

Are you guys going to get in on this winter wreath thing with me? Don’t forget to tag me in your pics!
