4 DIY Projects That Make Perfect Gifts

Allow me to get this off my chest: HOW IS IT DECEMBER ALREADY?!! Seriously, was it not just July? Okay, okay, end rant. Time to start thinking about a serious holiday season task: presents. Iā€™d love to find a cute craft I could create and gift to my friends. Something that is thoughtful, useful, and festive.

Last year, a friend of mine gifted mason jars filled with everything you need to make holiday cookies. It was wrapped in a pretty bow and included a little tag with printed directions. I could tell she took the time making these and I thought it was a great idea. I loved the look and size of the mason jar and knew there had to be other ideas out there. Turns out, there are many!

Here are some great gift ideas I found using mason jars. What do you guys think? Do you have a DIY go-to gift?

I told you I loved that cookie mix in a jar gift! It’s the perfect excuse to whip up a batch of cookies guilt free. I mean — it would actually be rude not to, you know? This year I can pay it forward in the cookie department, and my favorite mix by far was this one from Celebrating Sweets.

  1. LOVE the cocktail mason jar gifts! Here is a gift idea I got from fancyashley.com. She makes homemade cinnamon rolls and freezes the dough. The she delivers the cinnamon rolls with festive paper plates, napkins, and cute ribbon, to her friends and family. When they wake up Christmas morning, all they have to do is toss the rolls in the oven. It’s adorable! I’m tweaking it this year. I’m making pumpkin bread instead of cinnamon rolls.

  2. Now that pretty much everyone in my immediate and extended family is over 18, I would try the cocktail kit. I think it would be a pretty fun and cute gift especially for my Mum and Dad!
